Desi Lang, CPM/LDM is a home-birth midwife and the heart behind Moon Sisters Midwifery. Raised in Forest Grove, she lives here with her husband, her children are grown and she has a growing number of grandbabies. Desi’s care is relationship-based and consent-forward: listen first, keep things as undisturbed as health allows, and offer clear information when plans need to change. She completed her midwifery studies at Birthingway College of Midwifery and has worked in a variety of settings; she also enjoys assisting other midwives because she loves learning from peers and cross-pollinating skills. Clients describe her as calm, practical, inclusive, and sensory-aware—steady hands in labor with thoughtful follow-up in the tender postpartum weeks. After practicing solo for the past few years, Desi is now building a small, like-minded team to expand access and continuity of care.

Doula & Student Midwife
Crystal is the founder of Birth Vitality Doula Services, a holistic doula and student midwife. After years of showing up for others—15+ years in advocacy, including a decade in mental health and trauma-informed support—she’s carrying that steadiness into becoming a midwife. A mom of two, she understands that birth can be gritty and glorious at once; her support centers nervous-system safety, practical preparation, and meaningful presence. With a BA in Psychology, Crystal blends evidence literacy with real-world tools like grounding practices, breath work, and simple body mechanics so families can move through labor with confidence.
Now beginning her formal midwifery education, she’s expanding from coaching to clinical skills with a trauma-aware, culturally humble lens. Families who work with Crystal can expect options explained without pressure, support that adapts to shifting circumstances, and care that respects intuition without losing sight of safety. Her aim is straightforward: grow capacity, preserve dignity, and make space for a birth story you’ll feel at home in.
